WEST DES MOINES, IOWA — Police are seeking noted attorney Mike Manno for questioning in the death of a former bank officer found dead in a city transit bus last week. The investigation of Manno came after his publisher, Five Star, announced the upcoming publication of The End of the Line, a purported novel that exposes the details of the murder of R. J. Butler, found on the bus with a bullet hole in the back of his head. Manno was previously investigated for the murder of a young nun in the 2006 novel Murder Most Holy, also by Five Star and now available in paperback from Worldwide Mystery. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Manno are asked to call their local police. Police warn against approaching Manno, as he is armed with a word processor and is considered dangerous. |
